Visitors are surprised when they arrive and tour the homes that they can find virtually no conspicous signs these residences are assisted care facilities. The design intent is to blend into the neighborhood and that makes all the difference. |

Assisted living facilities vary from apartments where there are limited services, to homes or apartment-like complexes which provide progressive levels of living services, and also include traditional nursing homes. Memory and full-time nursing care may or may not be available.
Another type of assisted living utilizes home healthcare agencies which provide periodic medical visitations from licensed nurses who provide routine medical care, checkups, and administer medications. Some home healthcare agencies provide health services, while others provide both health and personal care services. |
